The philosophy of the Spiritualist National Union is based on the seven principles, these were given to us from the Socialist Robert Owen through the mediumship of Emma Hardinge Britten, and are as follows...
- The Fatherhood of God.
- The Brotherhood of Man.
- The Communion of Spirit and Ministry of Angels.
- The continuous existence of the human soul.
- Personal responsibility.
- Compensation and retribution hereafter for all the good and evil deeds done on the earth.
- Eternal progress open to every human soul.
The philosophy of Spiritualism can be best summed up as the acceptance of the reality of spirit return, and thereby the recognition by man of his own divinity. It tells us that we are all part of each other connected not by colour or creed, but by our spirit. It proves to us that with the right people and the right conditions, our loved ones can communicate with us here on earth. It explains to us that we are all responsible for our deeds here on earth, and these deeds will shape our place in the Spirit world.
We can no longer in this modern day, expect our ´sins´ to be wiped clean by a third party. This philosophy offers everyone hope, for it tells us no matter what, we have the whole of eternity to progress.
